FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How far in advance should I contact you for my wedding?

Ideally, you should contact me 6-12 months in advance, especially if your date is during peak season (December, February, June-July).

However, I have coordinated weddings with shorter deadlines when availability allows. The minimum recommended time is 4-5 months.

If your wedding is sooner than that, please write to me anyway. We evaluate each case individually.

Do you work with weddings outside of Cartagena?

Yes. I have coordinated weddings in Cartagena, Santa Marta, Barranquilla, Bogotá, Medellín, and the Coffee Region.

Cartagena is my specialty because I know every venue, every supplier, and every logistical detail. That local advantage is difficult to replicate in other cities.

For weddings outside Cartagena, I evaluate the project based on the date, budget, and complexity. In some cases, I can recommend excellent colleagues in other regions.

How does the payment process work?

The standard layout is:

30% upon signing the contract (reserve your date)
40% after 60 days
30% final payment one month before the event

If your situation requires a different arrangement, we can discuss it. I have worked with monthly payments for some couples on a case-by-case basis.

I accept international transfers (Wise, Zelle), local transfers in Colombia, and PayPal (fee paid by the customer).

What if I need to cancel or change the date?

The specific terms are in the contract, but in general:

Cancellation more than 6 months in advance: I retain the initial 30% deposit and refund the rest.
Cancellation less than 6 months in advance: depends on how much work has already been done.
Date change (not cancellation): no penalty if the new date is available in my calendar.

I have worked with couples who had to postpone due to medical, family, or work situations. I always find a reasonable solution.

What if something goes wrong on my wedding day?

My job is to make sure nothing gets to you.

30 days before your wedding, we create a comprehensive contingency document: a backup plan for weather, backup vendors, emergency protocols, and "what if" scenarios.

On the day of the event, my team and I resolve any unforeseen issues before you even notice. That is literally our job: to ensure that all you know is that everything went perfectly.

In eight years, I have dealt with everything from unexpected rain to suppliers who canceled at the last minute. There is always a solution if you act quickly.

Can I see references from previous brides?

Yes. During your initial call, I can connect you with previous brides based on your profile (city of origin, type of wedding, similar budget).
